Lee Kian Choong: Semi - Abstract Artworks (2006 - 2010)

Following the development of my semi-abstract language, this period represents an expansive shift outward and upward. Between 2006 and 2010, my focus turned toward the profound relationship between the terrestrial and the celestial—bridging the raw, grounded textures of the Earth with the boundless mysteries of the Cosmos.

These works contemplate scale, time, and the infinite. Organic forms, deep textural layering, and atmospheric gradients evoke both micro-landscapes found in nature and macro-views of nebulae and deep space. By exploring these dualities, the paintings serve as visual meditations on our place within a vast, interconnected universe.
