Artistic Chronology & Milestones
2020 – 2023 — Entered a focused period of deep artistic reflection during the global pandemic, analyzing the fundamental cross-disciplinary principles between photography and painting.
2020 — Featured in the Hopkins Center for the Arts charity fundraising exhibition, United States, with the acquisition of the painting "In The Distance."
2016 — Participated in the prominent 10 Artists Group Exhibition organized by ArtSafe Pte Ltd, Singapore.
2015 — Invited by the Macao Government to stage a debut solo art exhibition at the Taipa Houses–Museum, Macao.
2014 — Hosted a debut solo art exhibition in Hong Kong, organized by Asia Fineart Gallery.
2013 — Hosted a major solo art exhibition at HaoZhen Art Gallery, Singapore, graced by Singapore First Lady Mrs. Mary Tan and key international dignitaries.
2008 — Closed Portrait Master Studio to dedicate career entirely to contemporary fine art.
2006 — Graduated with a Master’s Degree in Contemporary Practice from the University of Huddersfield, UK.
1998 — Commenced deeper exploration into contemporary Chinese ink painting.
1994 — Began practicing Chinese ink painting, initiating a major mid-life creative transition.
1991 — Founded Portrait Master Studio in Singapore.
1990 — Appointed as photography teacher at the National University of Singapore (NUS) under the Extra-Mural Department.
1989 — Achieved Fellowship of The Royal Photographic Society (FRPS) of Great Britain, becoming the first individual in Singapore to hold a Fellowship in Portraiture.
1987 — Obtained the Associateship of The Royal Photographic Society (ARPS) of Great Britain.
1984 — Relocated to Singapore, entering the Information Systems Department of the Housing & Development Board.
1982 — Graduated with an Honours Degree in Control Systems and Computing Science from the University of Sheffield, UK.
